WWE SmackDown 05/06/2022 Report

Shayna Baszler Vs. Sasha Banks

Surprisingly, it was Sasha Banks who did better on the technical side of this match, with Shayna Baszler dominating only after a distraction from Natalya. The “Queen of Spades” controlled for minutes, but “La Jefa” was able to withstand her opponent’s offense both inside and outside the ring and turn the momentum in her favor.

In the end, Sasha Banks is grateful she was better, but after a quick pin swap, Shayna Baszler took the win with the help of the Queen of Hearts. When the match was over, Shayna Baszler and Natalya attempted to injure “The Boss”, but they managed to deflect that attack in their favor and put their rivals to flight.

Gunther Vs. Drew Gulak

Gunther was Drew Gulak’s surprise opponent, and “Ring General” easily dominated his opponent and won another match after a powerbomb.

Sheamus & Ridge Holland Vs. Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods

Unsurprisingly, this table match was chaotic from the start, with New Day coming out on top and almost winning were it not for Sheamus’ experience and aggressiveness. Chaos was truly the watchword and the four combatants battled both in and out of the ring, with aggressiveness between the two rival teams growing ever closer to victory.

In the end, Kofi Kingston put the “Celtic Warrior” on the commentators’ table and Xavier Woods was about to scale the third rope, but Butch emerged from under the ring and attacked the New Day fighters, who opened. Space for Sheamus and Ridge Holland double chokeslam Xavier Woods.

Sami Zayn Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

The match started evenly and it looked like Shinsuke Nakamura might be doing better, but Sami Zayn with a Michinoku driver turned the momentum in his favor.

The “Master Strategist” dominated for a few minutes, but the “King of Strong Style” managed, thanks to his kicks, to settle this dispute, which increasingly led to near-victories.

In the end, Sami Zayn tried to flee the ring and Shinsuke Nakamura went after his opponent, but the Great Liberator landed a Helluva Kick out of nowhere and entered the ring, winning the match by count out.
