AEW Dynamite March 22, 2023 Preview
On March 22, 2023, AEW Dynamite will showcase a match for the AEW Tag Team Championship, with The Gunns defending against Top Flight.
Additionally, El Hijo del Vikingo will debut in his first AEW match against Kenny Omega, and Hook will face Stokely Hathaway. Other matches include Toni Storm vs Skye Blue and Jon Moxley vs Stu Grayson.
Top Flight vs The Gunns
On AEW Dynamite, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn will defend their AEW Tag Team titles against Dante Martin and Darius Martin of Top Flight. The match was set up after an argument between the two teams in the previous week’s episode. The Gunns had previously retained their titles in a fatal 4-way match at Revolution. It remains to be seen whether they can successfully defend their titles once again or if Top Flight will become the new champions.
Kenny Omega will finally face El Hijo del Vikingo in his AEW debut after their previously scheduled match was postponed due to Omega’s injury. Omega and Vikingo were originally set to face off in 2021 when Omega was the AAA champion, but the match was delayed due to Omega relinquishing the title due to injury. Omega may be looking to become a contender for the AAA title once again by defeating Vikingo.
Stu Grayson vs Jon Moxley
During a six-man tag team match on the previous episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli defeated Hangman Adam Page, Evil Uno, and Stu Grayson. Moxley made Grayson submit and continued the submission even after the match ended. On Rampage, Grayson challenged Moxley, claiming he wanted to face him for giving Uno a concussion. It remains to be seen if Grayson can get revenge for the Dark Order in their upcoming match.
Skye Blue vs Toni Storm
On the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm will face Skye Blue in a singles match. Storm, along with Saraya and Ruby Soho, has been targeting several members of the women’s division, leading to a brawl with Jamie Hayter, which was interrupted by Skye Blue, Willow, and Riho. Blue will have the opportunity to retaliate against Storm for her attacks in their upcoming match.
Hook vs Stokely Hathaway
On the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite, Hook is set to face Stokely Hathaway from the Firm in a No Disqualification match. This is an eagerly awaited showdown as Hook earned this chance by defeating Matt Hardy in a previous episode of Dynamite. The Firm has reportedly been subjecting Hathaway to a rigorous training regime to prepare for this match. However, it remains to be seen if Hathaway will be able to endure against Hook’s formidable skills in the ring.
